The Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) is responsible for leading, coordinating, and implementing support strategies for students with diverse learning needs. The role involves working closely with teachers, parents, external professionals, and students to ensure inclusive education, equitable access to the curriculum, and the academic and emotional well-being of all learners. The Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) will have the qualifications and experience to assess students for special education needs, to guide the development of individual education plans, to deliver specialized support to students with diverse needs, and to coach teachers in supporting students with diverse needs in the classrooms. The LSC will hold, and organize using external facilitators where appropriate, workshops for teachers to enable in-class support. At Aga Khan School we expect all teachers to understand and live by the school mission statement which states, “The Aga Khan Education services will enable many generations to acquire both knowledge and the essential spiritual wisdom to balance that knowledge and enable their lives to attain the highest fulfilment”. Major Responsibilities: Identification and Support of Learners: Identify students’ learning needs through screening, data analysis, teacher/parent referrals, and assessments. Identify students with special needs, distinguishing between students who need remedial support and those who have specific learning needs. Identify students with literacy/language and numeracy difficulties (such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia), development disorders and cognitive challenges physical and neurological impairments, as well as social-emotional and behavioral difficulties. Develop and implement individual education plans for each student with specific learning needs. Analyse the academic achievement of all students attending the Learning Support Unit (LSU) and formulate appropriate strategies to support academic improvement. Work with subject teachers to ensure alignment of support strategies with classroom instruction. Maintain and regularly update a resource bank of materials and tools suitable for students with diverse learning needs. Resource Management: Organize and manage learning materials and physical resources in the Learning Support Unit to ensure accessibility and appropriateness for all learners. Identify external experts to support assessment of students with physical impairments and other challenges such as autism which are not assessable in-school. Monitoring and Documentation: Keep accurate records of each student’s learning progress and intervention history. Maintain logs of parent meetings, support sessions, and program adjustments. Ensure proper documentation of contracts signed with parents of students attending the LSU and monitor adherence to agreed terms. Parent and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with parents to keep them informed of their children’s progress and involve them actively in the learning process. Schedule and document parent visits to the LSU and encourage their participation in setting learning goals and reviewing progress. Team Coordination, Collaboration and Professional Development: Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership to promote inclusive practices in the classroom Provide training and professional support to staff on differentiation and learning support strategies. Coordinate and monitor the activities of the Learning Support teachers, guiding and coaching on assessment and implementation, and participate with Head of Operations on setting objectives and performance appraisals. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant inclusion and SEN policies and guidelines. Liaise with external professionals as needed and implement their recommendations effectively. -

The Aga Khan Foundation (Moz) is seeking a dynamic Project Manager for its new sexual and reproductive health project, STRIDES, based in Pemba, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. The Project Manager will join the AKF(Moz) health management team to launch and manage a newly awarded seven-year Canadian grant focused on improving sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and adolescents in six districts of Cabo Delgado province (Mecufi, Metuge and Namuno). Tasks and Responsibilities Specific responsibilities of the Project Manager will include: Oversee overall management of STRIDES project including development of project implementation plan (PIP), annual work-planning (AWP), technical reporting, budgeting and accountability, staff supervision, monitoring project outputs, donor reporting and compliance; Ensure project's gender analysis is conducted at the outset of the project, a gender integration action plan is developed and that its findings are incorporated in the project PIP, AWP, technical reports, budget and any other deliverables; Ensure project's baselines, midterm, and end line studies are concluded with the best quality possible and that the findings are used to inform project design and implementation; Closely work with the MERL team to design projects monitoring system that is responsive to the needs of the project and overall AKF Mozambique; Lead the process to conduct project's strategic environmental assessment (SEA) and develop environmental management plan; Oversee the quality of health facility infrastructure upgrades, training and mentoring of the staff at government health facilities to deliver SRHR-N services; Build and maintain at local level a broad network of external partnerships with national government, UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, donors, private sector, civil society organisations and other partners; Undertake regular field monitoring visits to assess progress and identify technical quality issues and/or other implementation issues, provide solutions and implement modifications as required; Represent the project and AKF Mozambique, as required, in strategic SRHR -N meetings; Develop a project management system that ensures the project is implemented on time, on budget, on target and in compliance with donors, AKF Mozambique and government of Mozambique's requirements; Perform other programmatic and management tasks that may be required to achieve programme objectives or as assigned by the Senior Health Programme Officer; Represent AKF and the project at relevant regional technical meetings with GAC and Cooperating Agencies (CAs) meetings for the project as appropriate. -
