As part of its efforts to raise awareness of COVID-19 among disadvantaged and marginalised communities, the Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) launched radio programmes, pinned posters around villages, and even distributed colouring books donated by UNICEF. The colouring books, for example, were designed to encourage families to spend quality time with their children while committing to physical distancing measures. In the process, it provided behavioural change tips through radio programmes and posters that were pinned in public areas across the villages. Overall, OHF raised awareness of COVID-19 within the community of Aswan and 20 of the poorest villages in the area. The colouring books even drew a few smiles on children faces!
