Three projects implemented in Afghanistan by the World Health Organization, UNICEF and a consortium led by the Aga Khan Foundation will contribute to strengthening the response capacity of health systems, testing and treating patients, improving infection prevention, raising awareness and reducing nutritional risks. The three projects will be supported by a 35 million euros grant from the European Union .

In an effort to increase the number of Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres and contribute to the implementation of national educational programmes, OXFAM and the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) established five ECD centres in Tajikistan.
