To respond to the socio-economic risks arising from the spread of the coronavirus in the region, fodder seeds and fertilizers as well as individual protection materials were provided to farmers and veterinarians in Naryn Oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic. This humanitarian aid was transferred as part of the project "Emergency support to the livestock sector in Naryn and At-Bashy districts of Naryn oblast" supported by the Government of Switzerland and the Aga Khan Foundation in the Kyrgyz Republic.
In Nairobi, inpatients, surgical and day surgery patients at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) will now be tested for coronavirus for free. AKUH said that the initiative is a safety measure for the patients and the staff at the hospital. AKUH is among the 20 laboratories approved by the government to carry out the virus test and has so far tested 1,084 samples since it was approved by the Ministry of Health. AKUH said that it has put in place a number of safety measures to keep its clients and staff safe during this pandemic period.

School safety ensures that future generations are protected from the adverse effects of disasters and it is given paramount importance in most countries across the world. Considering the urgent need of addressing the worrisome conditions in schools, which put the lives of thousands of children and teachers at stake, the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan organised the first-ever international conference on School Safety on 16 May. AKAH advised parents, students, and teachers to adopt the necessary measures to protect themselves and the children from getting the virus, most importantly by adopting hygienic practices.
The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto has pulled out all the stops with its online offering. There are so far eight 3D tours available as part of the #MuseumWithoutWalls programme, all created using Matterport 3D scanning technology. The tours cover a range of spaces: one could begin with the atrium, a central feature of the Pritzker Prize-winning architect Fumihiko Maki’s design for the museum, before progressing on to the permanent collections gallery, where around 200 objects from the 1,000-strong collection of Islamic art and artefacts are on display.
