The Aga Khan Health Services, Pakistan (AKHS, P) is making strenuous efforts to provide health facilities to the people in the far-off and backward areas of Chitral district. AKHS, P CEO, Nadeem Hussain Abbas, said that AKHS, P was making basic health facilities available to the poor in the remote areas despite financial constraints. He added that steps would be taken to establish a modern laboratory and provision of the ultrasound machine and other equipment to the Madaklasht Health Centre.

In Canada, the University of Alberta Botanic Garden is opening its doors for winter fun this month. For the next few weeks, the University of Alberta Botanic Garden is hosting Date Night Under the Stars, every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. The event opens the garden to guests as a year-round destination.The initiative started on Valentine’s Day weekend to offer visitors to the garden an alternative outdoor activity and give grownups a chance to enjoy a winter date night.Activities include taking a trip down an ice slide, and strolling through the Kurimoto Japanese and Aga Khan Gardens.
