Pamir Energy has implemented over 30 projects, including the full rehabilitation of 11 hydro power plants, totalling a little more than 44 MW in generation capacity (a 12th plant with a generation capacity of 11MW is on the way). Its success proves that small-scale hydro power plants can provide reliable, clean and affordable electricity -- 24 hours a day -- over the long-term.

The aim of this UKAID-funded project, implemented by Aga Khan Foundation, is to reduce conflicts related to the use and management of natural resources such as irrigation water and pastures in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as well as in cross-border areas between both countries.
