On 20 November, the Portuguese government, through the Camões Cooperation Institute, and the AKDN donated medical equipment to protect against Covid-19 in the Maputo province. The equipment consists of 100,000 surgical masks and 5,000 disposable personal protective gowns for medical staff and other health professionals. In July, the two entities already donated 100,000 reusable masks as part of the action plan in the health response to the Covid-19 pandemic between Portugal and the Portuguese-language African countries and East Timor.
