French ambassador calls public-private partnership in health sector

French Ambassador to Tanzania, Frederic Clavier, has underscored the need for increased public-private partnerships to fight the growing impacts of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the country. Speaking during the launch of the first "French Health Care Day" in Dar es Salaam on 6 November, the envoy called for increased investments including implementing a sustainable development strategy in health. Ambassador Clavier added that by choosing to support the health sector among others, France showed its confidence in Tanzania and it a proud to work in close partnership and trust with the Aga Khan Development Network to help improve health care delivery in the country.
