Europe needs a vaccine for inequality, not just Covid-19

In addition to its immediate health impact, the pandemic has shone the levels of inequality in Europe and around the world through a variety of lenses from demographic to financial to digital. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stressed that the European Union was "a community of values", and philanthropy is certainly part of that community. For instance, the Aga Khan Foundation in Portugal mobilised volunteers to translate key Covid-19 information for migrant communities in Lisbon.
