1986 Aga Khan Award for Architecture recipients
Marrakech, 24 November 1986 - Third Aga Khan Award for Architecture Ceremony held in Morocco in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sidi Mohamed of Morocco and the Crown Prince Sidi Hassan of Jordan and Ministers from Egypt, Niger, Turkey and Yugoslavia. Eleven projects have been selected by the Master Jury from the 213 nominations for the third Aga Khan Award for Architecture :

- Restoration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem
- Saïd Naum Mosque, Jakarta, Indonesia
- Shushtar New Town, Iran
- Social Security Complex, Istanbul, Turkey
- Yaama Mosque, Tahoua, Niger
