Tajikistan/Afghanistan, 2004 - "Crossing the Pyanj" River reveals the logistical challenges of delivering milk for the Education Dairy and Nutrition Program to Afghan schoolchildren. It shows the creative modes of transportation used by Focus Humanitarian Assistance to get the milk to 60 schools in four isolated border districts of Badakhshan, Afghanistan. Crossing the Pyanj River, a strictly guarded border, which divides Tajikistan and Afghanistan, is the only way to get the milk to the schools. An AKDN production, currently available from Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A.
