Milk and Hope, the Education Dairy and Nutrition Programme in Tajikistan

Tajikistan, 2004 - Spanning across four countries, 'Milk and Hope' tells the story of the Education Dairy and Nutrition Program (EDNP), a private-public partnership between Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. and the U.S. Department of Agriculture in collaboration with a private firm, Agribusiness Management Company. Since 2002, EDNP has been providing a daily serving of milk to 50,000 schoolchildren in Tajikistan and Afghanistan, and helping communities with improvements in education, local infrastructure and the dairy and livestock industry. An AKDN production, currently available from Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A.
