Pakistan Post and the First MicroFinanceBank Partner Towards Poverty Alleviation
2 October 2007 - The First MicroFinanceBank and Pakistan Post have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together for poverty alleviation. The agreement, which will allow the rapid scaling up of quality microfinance services to vulnerable populations in rural and urban parts of the country, was signed at the PM House.

Microfinance for Women in Northern Pakistan
Since its establishment in 2005, the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM) has taken over 25 years of microfinance activities, programmes and banks that were administered by sister agencies within the AKDN. The underlying objectives of the Agency are to reduce poverty, diminish the vulnerability of poor populations and alleviate economic and social exclusion. more
