Aga Khan Visits USA - Georgia -
April 2008 - During the last portion of his visit to the United States, His Highness met with Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue in Atlanta, and was then hosted to a private luncheon held in his honour. He also delivered the Peterson Lecture on “Global Education and the Developing World” to the Annual Meeting of the International Baccalaureate, which was marking its 40th anniversary.

Microfinance for Women in Northern Pakistan
Since its establishment in 2005, the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM) has taken over 25 years of microfinance activities, programmes and banks that were administered by sister agencies within the AKDN. The underlying objectives of the Agency are to reduce poverty, diminish the vulnerability of poor populations and alleviate economic and social exclusion. more
