Dushanbe, Tajikistan, 29 July 2016 – Focus Humanitarian Assistance (FOCUS) and the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan have signed an agreement to implement Phase II of a 36-month project that will directly and indirectly enhance community disaster preparedness levels of approximately 50,000 people in Tajikistan.

Bamyan, Afghanistan, 23 July 2016 - Today, 45 women trained by the Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) graduated from the two-year Community Midwifery Education (CME) programme in Bamyan. The training of these 45 Community Midwives was supported by the Ministry of Public Health SEHAT project and the governments of Canada and France, respectively.
