Aga Khan Music Initiative Presents the Badakhshan Ensemble at Music Festival in Turkey
07 October 2014 - The 11th Konya International Mystic Music Festival featured the six-member Badakhshan Ensemble in a concert of spiritual and traditional on the evening of 24 September. The Ensemble has had a long-term relationship with the Aga Khan Music Initiative and the Festival.

Aga Khan Attends the Inauguration of Afghanistan’s New President
29 September 2014 - His Highness the Aga Khan on Monday (September 29th) paid a brief visit to Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, to join several dignitaries from around the world at the official inauguration of the country’s new president Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai and the swearing in of the Chief Executive Dr Abdullah Abdullah.

Aga Khan Museum Opens to Public with Inaugural Exhibitions and Performing Arts Programme
18 September 2014 - The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, which is dedicated to presenting an overview of the artistic, intellectual and scientific contributions that Muslim civilisations have made to world heritage, opened its doors to the public today. It also opened two temporary exhibitions open: The Garden of Ideas: Contemporary Art from Pakistan and In Search of the Artist: Signed Drawings and Paintings from the Aga Khan Museum Collection. The Performing Arts programme begins on September 20th with Routes of Andalusia and on 21st with Qalandar: Mugham, Dastgah, and Maqam.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Aga Khan Open the Ismaili Centre Toronto and Aga Khan Museum
12 September 2014 - Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, and His Highness the Aga Khan formally opened the Ismaili Centre Toronto and Aga Khan Museum today. The Aga Khan Museum is the first museum in North America dedicated to the arts of Muslim civilisations.
