Aga Khan Music Initiative Launches University Residency Series 2012 in United States
08 February 2012 - The Aga Khan Music Initiative's 2012 University Residency Series, featuring the Alim Qasimov Ensemble, Homayun Sakhi Trio and Kronos Quartet, will offer workshops, lecture-demos and concerts on college and university campuses across the United States.
His Highness the Aga Khan receives honorary doctorate from the University of Ottawa
13 January 2012 - His Highness the Aga Khan was today awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Ottawa for his service to humanity. The degree was confered at a special convocation presided over by Chancellor Huguette Labelle, as well as University President Allan Rock.

07 December 2011 - A new selection of masterpieces from the Aga Khan Museum collections will be on show at the Hermitage, St. Petersburg, from 9 December 2011 to 26 February 2012.The exhibition is the first created from the Aga Khan Museum collections to centre on architecture in the Islamic arts.

Microfinance for Women in Northern Pakistan
Since its establishment in 2005, the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM) has taken over 25 years of microfinance activities, programmes and banks that were administered by sister agencies within the AKDN. The underlying objectives of the Agency are to reduce poverty, diminish the vulnerability of poor populations and alleviate economic and social exclusion. more
