President Museveni and Aga Khan Inaugurate Kampala Serena Hotel

Kampala, Uganda, 10 November 2006 - His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni today officially inaugurated the Kampala Serena Hotel in the presence of His Highness the Aga Khan. The opening of the five-star hotel, previously the Nile Hotel, is a milestone for Uganda’s service and tourism industry.

A central theme used throughout when redesigning the hotel was the Nile: water used both indoors and outdoors in a continuous flow; works of art reflecting the history and cultures of all the peoples of the Nile; reminders of the experience of those who lived and traveled in these lands. - Photo: AKDN/Gary Otte
