UCA is helping expand economic opportunities for Central Asian youth and professionals. Since 2006, UCA’s School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) has trained more than 85,000 learners in the professional and vocational skills identified as in greatest demand, including English, accounting, IT and entrepreneurship, in all three host countries as well as Afghanistan. More than half of these learners are women, and three-quarters under the age of 25.
School of Professional and Continuing Education The School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) is a leading provider of post-secondary, short-cycle education in Central Asia, giving young people and adults professional and vocational qualifications that improve employment and income generating opportunities.SPCE offers certificate programmes in over 30 areas at seven learning centres in the region. All SPCE certificate programmes are internationally benchmarked with academic quality and integrity assured through a system of external examiners. SPCE frequently partners with government at the local, district, oblast and national government bodies to provide training to civil servants. The School is also a leading provider of educational literature, having published over 220 textbooks in support of its programmes.
