Effective healthcare delivery depends on qualified human resources. Since 1983, more than 14,000 alumni have graduated from AKDN’s programmes in nursing, medicine and education.

The AKDN operates more than 200 health centres and hospitals, of which 14 are ISO-certified and/or JCI-accredited, in recognition of meeting international quality standards in health delivery and hospital care.
