Inaugural Global Pluralism Award Ceremony

The Global Centre for Pluralism's inaugural Global Pluralism Award Ceremony will be held on Wednesday 15 November 2017. It will be webcast live at www.akdn.org/live starting at 6pm EST.

The Awards will be presented by His Highness the Aga Khan, Chairman of the Board of the Global Centre for Pluralism, and the Rt. Hon. Beverley McLachlin, Chief Justice of Canada.

An independent international jury, chaired by the Rt. Hon. Joe Clark, former Prime Minister of Canada, selected three winners and seven honourable mentions out of 230 submissions from 43 countries. The Award celebrates pluralism in action and is being presented during an important year for both founding partners of the Centre – His Highness the Aga Khan is marking his Diamond Jubilee as spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslims and Canada is celebrating 150 years since Confederation.
