1 October 2007 - His Highness the Aga Khan officially inaugurated the Exhibition
“Chefs-d’œuvre islamiques de l’Aga Khan Museum” at the Louvre Museum, Paris, France,
in the presence of Eric Woerth, Minister of Budget, Christine Albanel,
Minister of Culture and Communications and Henri Loyrette, President and Director of the Louvre.
The exhibition provides a preview of the permanent collection of the Aga Khan Museum,
which will open in Toronto, Canada.

In his address to the “Musée-Musées” roundtable, the Aga Khan spoke about
the significant role museums might play in improving understanding between East and West.
