During his visit to Tajikistan between 29th October and 1st November, 2006,
His Highness the Aga Khan had meetings with President Emomali Rahmonov and senior
government officials in Dushanbe. In addition to making various site visits, the Aga Khan attended
the foundation ceremony of the Dushanbe Serena Hotel, the inauguration of a bridge between Afghanistan and Tajikistan at Ishkashim, and the opening of the Khorog campus of the
School of Professional and Continuing Education of the University of Central Asia
