His Highness the Aga Khan receives the UN Champion for Global Change Award
19 October 2017
His Highness the Aga Khan spoke on pluralism and accepted the Champion for Global Change Award at the 2017 United Nations Global Leadership Dinner yesterday.
Each year, in collaboration with its partners, the AKDN provides 5 million people with quality health care, including through outpatient visits and community health programmes.
116 projects have received the Aga Khan Award for Architecture over the last 40 years, often anticipating innovations, such as green buildings, or reflecting architectural discourse, such as a return to human scale.
One million dollars are shared among prize winners, as determined by the independent Master Jury. Half the prize money is a grant for promoting the replicable aspects of the design.
