Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) is one of three AKDN agencies that support activities in health, alongside the Aga Khan Foundation and the Aga Khan University. Together, they provide quality health care to eight million people annually and work closely on planning, training and resource development. AKHS also works with the Aga Khan Education Services and the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat on the integration of health issues into partnered projects.

Approach to Health Services
We aim to reach the most vulnerable in society, particularly mothers and babies, with low-cost, high-quality, proven medical technologies.
Environment and Climate
We aim to provide environmentally-friendly health care, reducing energy and pollutant consumption in our buildings, supplies and processes.
AKHS in East Africa
We are developing an integrated health system in East Africa to help Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda offer effective, sustainable health care to all.
AKHS in Central Asia
We create health infrastructure, provide professional training, support healthcare system reform and offer healthcare services in Afghanistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Syria and Tajikistan.
AKHS in South Asia
We run the largest not-for-profit private healthcare system in Pakistan, reaching over 800,000 people. We operate a 158-bed hospital in India and also undertake primary care and health education there.
