The Aga Khan Trust for Culture is restoring three citadels in Syria, including the one in Aleppo. The Aga Khan Fund for Development and its partners have built the Azito power plant in the Ivory Coast. The plant supplies 30 percent of the country's electricity.
In Gujarat, India, the Aga Khan Foundation has built check dams and bunds to draw water back into depleted aquifers in this drought-prone area.
